The Porsche 356 was the car that helped the German automaker break onto the scene. As such, Porsche collectors are always on the search for examples in the most well-maintained and original condition. Few can be found in as remarkable of condition as this 356 A 1600 Speedster. The most desirable of the 356 variants, this speedster comes from nearly 60 years of single-family ownership and retains it’s matching-numbers engine, hard top roof, and an early paint job, just the second since new. As the story goes, the current owner met her future husband soon after he bought the car. She encouraged him to repaint it to match a color she spotted on a pen, a pen which she still carries to this day. Find out more in the following episode of Barn Find Hunter posted by Hagerty for some more insight into the condition and story of the car, then join us on October 6th and 7th in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where it will be sold without reserve.
